Local Liberal Democrat MEP, Diana Wallis, welcomed a large group of visitors from Yorkshire and the Humber to the European Parliament in Brussels today, Thursday 4th December.

The group from right across Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire, as well as hearing from Diana about her work as an MEP, were fortunate to be in the plenary chamber to hear the address from the Dalai Lama.

One member of the group (from Shelley) said: "it was a great experience. We came away with a lot more knowledge about how the Europe Parliament works and the icing on the cake was hearing from such a significant global figure as the Dalai Lama."
